We were delighted to present on Transforming Mental Health Management through Watchful Waiting and Social Prescribing at a recent event attended by approximately 50 GPs at the Better Medical update day in the Adelaide Pavilion.
The presentation was extremely well received, with strong engagement from attendees. Many GPs expressed interest in adopting these approaches in their practices and welcomed the offer of follow-up support. Key themes discussed included the pressures on GPs in managing anxiety and depression, and the value of non-pharmaceutical interventions and the overdiagnosis of ADHD.
We distributed our Language Matters resource and launched the Social Prescription Project website—now live and supporting GP-led mental health care improvements: The Social Prescription – Transforming mental health management
